NDP MPP removed from caucus following misconduct allegations

The Ontario NDP has removed MPP Michael Mantha from its caucus over allegations of workplace misconduct.

Leader Marit Stiles announced in statement Saturday morning that the party has launched an independent third-party investigation into the allegations against the representative for Algoma-Manitoulin.

She said further details could not be shared to protect the privacy of the complainant.

According to official records, Mantha hasn’t participated in debate or a vote at the provincial legislature since December 2022.
