Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo asks for donations to help dog, three puppies

The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth (HSKWSP) desperately needs money to care for a dog and her three puppies.

Daisy the dog was in active labour when she arrived at the centre the morning of Wednesday March 7.

Daisy gave birth to a boy and two girls. The four year old dog and her puppies are doing well. They are in foster care, but face some significant medical bills. It could cost over $6,500 for medical and care costs to prepare the dogs for adoption.

“This includes the cost of spay and neuter surgery for all four dogs, vaccinations, parasite treatment, microchip and any other medication required and the daily cost of care’” according to the Humane Society.

“The money raised will help Daisy and her puppies lead a healthy, happy life,” stated Kathrin Delutis, chief executive officer of the HSKWSP. “The cost of care for four dogs can add up quickly. Being a self-funded and self-governed organization that receives no funding from the government for our charitable programs and services, we rely on our community’s generosity to provide this life-saving, around-the-clock care. We truly hope you’ll donate today.”
