Police investigating robbery at downtown bank

London police are searching for a single suspect accused of robbing a bank near the city’s downtown core Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to a robbery call at the Bank of Montreal (BMO) branch on the corner of Dundas and Wellington streets at around 12:50 p.m.

Police say a suspect, described as a White man, around 5’11”, with a medium build entered the branch wearing a blue medical mask. He later took off from the branch with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapons were reportedly seen during the incident.

“The investigation continues and has been reassigned to the LPS Street Crimes Unit,” read a statement from a police official.
