Arrest made and charges laid relating to summer shooting

The West Grey Police Service have made an arrest relating to a shooting this past summer.

Police say they began an investigation on July 27 following a drive-by shooting that occurred in Durham. An investigation revealed that multiple shots were fired at a parked vehicle, and luckily no one was injured. Officers determined that the vehicle was targeted, and that there was no further threat to public safety. Following the investigation, police have arrested and charged a 31-year-old from Woodstock with numerous charges including assault with a weapon and discharge firearm with intent.

The accused remains held in police custody.
