The Owen Sound Attack are once again running their Attack Hunger campaign to bring in food donations for those who need it most during the holidays.
This year the Attack have partnered with IG Wealth Management and the team will hand out donation bags after their December 10 home date against the Guelph Storm. The team will then accept food and money donations until their next home date on December 17 against Windsor. The goal is to have thousands of pounds of non-perishable food items come in, which will all then be donated to the Salvation Army Food Bank in Owen Sound.
“This year’s event will see donations being collected on a game night as well as at three main drop-off locations. Those are the IG Wealth Management office on the east side, the Attack office downtown and Foodland on the west side,” a team release stated.
Monetary donations can also be made to the Attack Hunger Campaign by visiting the Attack Shack online store and following the Attack Hunger link.
“Our involvement in the community continues to be a priority for us, and we continue to work hard to be involved while following pandemic protocols” said Attack Manager of Marketing and Communications Greg Hoddinott. “We are extremely excited to bring another sense of normalcy to our season with Attack Hunger Campaign moving forward in its traditional execution.”
