London police are continuing to search for one of two teenagers charged with breaking into and stealing over $20,000 worth of product from a dozen cannabis and beer stores in the city.
The string of break and enters happened between September 18 and November 19. In total, ten cannabis stores and two beer stores were hit. The thieves caused approximately $46,600 damage to the stores and made off with approximately $20,504 in cannabis and booze, police said.
Using video surveillance, police were able to determine the same suspect was involved in all 12 incidents. A suspect was identified which led officers to search a home in south London on Saturday.
A 17-year-old was arrested and charged with 11 counts of break and enter and theft and one count of break and enter with intent. A 16-year-old has been charged with one count of break and enter and theft. That teen has not yet been arrested.
Neither of the accused can be publicly identified because of their age.
Police are asking anyone with information about the break-ins to call them at 519-661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
