Saugeen Shores police are looking for the person responsible for driving nails through a wooden board and hiding it in the sand on Port Elgin’s Main Beach.

A little girl stepped on the board on Sunday. No word on whether she suffered any injuries. Police say in a release the girl had been walking on the beach at time.

The board was found by police along a travelled area. No one else was reportedly hurt by the device.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
