Arrest made and charges laid in connection to local break-in spree

Police have made an arrest and laid charges following an investigation into a break-in spree.

South Bruce OPP received a report of a break-in theft on Monday, September 12 just before 8 a.m. at an address along Main Street in the village of Tiverton. Officers discovered an assortment of tools had been stolen. Officers later located and arrested an individual without incident. Police then recovered a significant amount of stolen property, including tools, firearms, ammunition, jewellery, and alcohol from the arrested individual. The stolen property was from 5 other break-ins, one in Kincardine and 4 others in Saugeen Shores.

As a result, a 26-year-old from South Bruce Peninsula has been arrested and charged with numerous offences in connection to these crimes. The accused remains in police custody.
