A Huron County man faces a long list of charges after a frightening incident at a local hospital emergency room.
Huron County OPP were called about 6:25 p.m. Monday evening to investigate a report of a suspect assaulting a security officer and screener at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital.
A suspect is accused of forcing his way past the security guard, then threatening several staff members while carrying a weapon.
The suspect left before officers arrived, but police soon tracked down the suspect at his home. Police say a suspect resisted arrest and assaulted one of the arresting officers causing a minor injury to the officer.
63-year-old David Heldson from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh is in custody facing a long list of charges.
