Teen fastpitch standout flees Ukraine, finds safe harbour here – and chance to play

At 17, Ukrainian ballplayer Masha Romanova has faced Russian shelling in Kyiv, a frightening four-day trek to safety with her mom and a three-month effort to shelter in our region with the family of a fellow U.S. softball scholarship winner.
