London city hall briefs: Demolitions approved, Glen Cairn pool woes

Three vacant and deteriorating buildings across the city are slated for the wrecking ball. City hall is recommending demolition of 9 Front St., near Wellington Road and High Street, 20 Paddington Ave., west of Wharncliffe Road South, and 150 Adelaide St. N., whose neighbouring unit at 152 Adelaide St. was ordered demolished by council last year. All three have been subject of property standards orders, used by city hall to force owners to keep their buildings safe and well-maintained, with no response, city staff wrote in a report to politicians.
