The corporate mileage rate for London city councillors and others at city hall who drive personal vehicles for work may climb to 59 cents a kilometre on July 1. That’s tied to Canada Revenue Agency’s “reasonable rate” last year. Council’s corporate services committee unanimously endorsed the recommendation from staff at a Monday meeting. The current rate is 50 cents a kilometre. “This is the year gas has really soared. I’m not going to argue this,” Mayor Ed Holder said.
