Woman arrested for assault in St. Thomas

The St. Thomas Police Service (STPS) responded to a local bar on Sunday due to a reported assault.

Police said that an investigation found that a 29-year-old woman was turned away from the establishment, as she was found to be intoxicated.

When she was denied entry, STPS said that the woman assaulted a bar employee.

The suspect was arrested and charged with assault and public intoxication. She was later released with a future court date.
