After a two-week-long fraud investigation, the Owen Sound Police Service (OSPS) recovered $10,000 worth of Home Depot products.
OSPS said that the goods were purchased using a stolen credit card on Saturday, April 16 and that the investigation followed the delivery of the products to a commercial rental unit. After obtaining a search warrant, police said the products were recovered and returned to the Home Depot.
As a result of the investigation, a 46-year-old Owen Sound woman was arrested and faces several charges including fraud over $5,000.
The woman is set to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice – Owen Sound in May 2022.
