St. Thomas police officer charged after minor crash

A St. Thomas police officer has been charged after a crash in the city’s downtown on Tuesday.

The officer is alleged to have turned into the path of another vehicle near the intersection of Talbot and St. Catharines streets.

No one was hurt and both vehicles sustained only minor damage.

The officer has been charged with making an unsafe turn under the Highway Traffic Act. The charge comes with a fine of $110 and two demerit points.
