A U13 house league hockey game in the Southwestern Ontario town of Simcoe turned chaotic as a coach whipped part of a broken stick toward two referees, an act caught on video as he was turfed from the rink. Police have said they escorted a stick-tossing coach from the arena on March 2 and there have been no charges. Stephen Gradish, president of Tillsonburg Minor Hockey, told The London Free Press the Ontario Minor Hockey Association is investigating. “I’m led to believe he’s indefinitely put on leave pending an investigation,” Gradish said.
