For the second weekend in a row, residents across southwestern Ontario can expect to see military vehicles rolling down area highways.
Canadian Army Reserve personnel from 31 Service Battalion will be taking part in vehicle training on Saturday. The planned exercises will focus on navigation and driver training from Windsor to London, then to Woodstock, Brantford and Hamilton. The military vehicles will be visible on Highway 401, Highway 403, and the QEW.
Soldiers taking part will remain within their vehicles, unless maintenance is required.
The training is meant to maintain and further develop Canadian Army Reserve safety procedures, driving skills, and discipline while operating specific vehicle platforms, the Canadian Armed Forces said.
All participating soldiers will be required to follow all public health guidelines including wearing masks, sanitizing of equipment and hands, and physical distancing wherever possible.
The public is asked to use caution when approaching military vehicles being used in the training.
Similar training activities were performed last weekend from Windsor to London.
