Minto Mayor George Bridge will not seek re-election this fall

The Town of Minto will elect a new mayor later this year.

After 12 years in office, current Mayor George Bridge announced during Tuesday’s council meeting that he will not seek re-election, citing a desire to spend more time with his family.

Bridge was first elected in 2010, and most recently took 53.51% of the vote in the 2018 Municipal Election against Terry Fisk.

He served as Warden of Wellington County in 2015-2016.

The 2022 Municipal Elections are scheduled to take place on Monday, October 24th.
