Impaired charge laid after vehicle collides with multiple others on Hwy. 402

A 33-year-old man is accused of impaired driving after a driver crashed into multiple vehicles on Highway 402 west of London.

Middlesex OPP were called about a suspected impaired driver in the eastbound lanes of the highway just before 6 p.m. on Sunday. Officers arrived on scene to find a vehicle had collided with several other vehicles before coming to rest in the ditch near Highway 401.

No injuries were reported.

A Kitchener man was arrested. He has been charged with operation of a vehicle while impaired by alcohol, driving a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus and driving with liquor readily available.

The man is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charges on April 7.
