Man arrested as police probe homicide

One man is dead and another has been arrested after a violent clash inside a west London home Wednesday night.

London police were called to the home on Wharncliffe Road South near Elmwood Avenue around 11 p.m. where they found a 56-year-old man with “multiple lacerations.”

Officers began life-saving efforts until paramedics arrived. The man was taken to hospital where he later died.

A 40-year-old man is in police custody but, as of Thursday morning, no charges have been laid.

The police major crime section has launched an investigation, which is in its early stages, police said.

No other details about the homicide, including the names of the victim or suspect, have been released.
