OAK HARBOR, Ohio — Vistra Corp.’s Davis-Besse nuclear plant remained offline Monday but entered what the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission described as an “emergency situation” involving a monitor that measures neutron flux in the reactor.

CAREY, Ohio — The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency confirmed Friday there was a large release of red, liquid hog manure into a Wyandot County waterway called Poverty Run earlier this week, but had little to say about how the spill occurred, whether it’s been contained, or what is being done to prevent a recurrence.
