Air quality in Lucas County is improving through the morning hours after a 7 a.m. reading of 155, an unhealthy rating from airnow.gov. AccuWeather also reported unhealthy air quality for the area. Some reports had pointed to smoke from fireworks as a contributor. By 9:30 a.m., the reading for the area had improved to a rating of 98, in the moderate category as reported by airnow.gov.
