FLORENCE STEWART

Florence “Rosemary” (Bell) Stewart, of Crediton and formerly of Kincardine, passed away peacefully at South Huron Hospital on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at the age of 96.
Beloved wife of the late John E. Stewart (1993).
Cherished mum of Brian and Marilyn Stewart of Toronto, Dianne Faubert and Daryl Tripp of Crediton, Leanne “Leigh” Robinson of Exeter and David Burghardt of Lucan.
Proud Gramma of Shea Robinson, Britt and Andrew Hodgert and Victoria Stewart;and Great-Gramma of Axton and Hayden.
Adored “Aunt Babe” to many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by Travis Robinson and Carolyn Gower.
Rosemary was proud to be the Postmaster in Crediton for many years, forming relationships with those in the community. She was known for wearing a white blouse with a brooch regardless of the occasion. Rosemary enjoyed tending to her gardens and took pride in her home as this was the hub for family gatherings. Above all, she was so proud of her granddaughters, having them for sleepovers, and was thrilled to have spent time with her twin great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held at the Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, Exeter. Frp, 2:30-4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Rosemary’s memorial service followed at 5 p.m.
Cremation has taken place. A private family interment will be held at the Kincardine Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Legion Poppy Fund would be appreciated by the family.
