The Kincardine District Secondary School Knights won the 15th annual Matthew Dinning Memorial Cup on April 26, hosted by F.E. Madill Secondary School in Wingham. KDSS’s junior boys rugby squad topped Madill in the final of the seven-team tournament, held annually in honour of former Mustang rugby standout Matthew Dinning, who was killed serving in Afghanistan in 2006. With the score tied 0-0 after regulation in the championship match, KDSS needed sudden death penalty kicks to put away the Mustangs.
