ELAINE KIRKCONNELL

Margaret Elaine (née Donald) Kirkconnell of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2023, in her 86th year.
Wife of the late Jack Kirkconnell.
Mother of Gloria (Dan) Threndyle of Kincardine, Raymond Priebe of Kitchener, Bonnie Priebe of Lloydminster, Alberta, and Steven Priebe (Deirdre Bannon) of Toronto. Remembered by her stepchildren John, Barry and Anne Kirkconnell and by their families.
Grandmother of Chad, Lyndsay, Harrison, Brennan, Alana, Kaitlyn and Kyle; great-grandmother of Grace, Reese, Ella, Macy, Taigen, Shay, Kayne and Colby.
Predeceased by her parents Theodore and Jean (Nichol) Donald, brother Harry Donald and two brothers in infancy.
Elaine was born on Feb. 12, 1937 in Toronto. She attended nursing school in Toronto. She worked as a PSW and later at various retail stores.
She loved being surrounded by her numerous plants and sitting outside listening to birds. Her love of gospel music influenced her to play self-taught piano and accordion. She was loved by many for her laughter and easy-going outlook on life. Elaine was a member of the Listowel Baptist Church.
A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home in Listowel, at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, with visitation for one hour prior and a reception to follow. Pastor John Lambshead officiating.
Spring interment Tara Cemetery.
