PHOTOS: Christmas glow warms downtown
The Christmas season in downtown London kicked off Friday evening with the Lighting of the Lights in Victoria Park and the launch of the new Holly Jolly Market at Covent Garden Market. Musicians warmed up the crowd before the switch was thrown to turn on the 75,000 lights that will illuminate the park until the end of February. It was a big night at the market, where the outdoor Holly Jolly Market opened and visitors enjoyed a giant Christmas tree, artisan and food vendors, live music, light displays and a fire pit.
