An agitated man armed with a BB gun threated staff and caused panic early Monday in the emergency department at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, police and a hospital official said.
The backlog was created when an “unprecedented increase” in the number of children being admitted with respiratory viruses last fall forced the hospital to cancel non-urgent surgeries.
