Thursday’s Tunes seniors dances return

Thursday’s Tunes is back in Clinton.

Central Huron Community Improvement Coordinator Angela Smith explains, Thursday’s Tunes originated in Seaforth a few years ago as Tuesday’s Tunes and was very popular, so Smith helped create Thursday’s Tunes in Clinton in 2018.

“Thursday’s Tunes is a seniors dance that happens every Thursday in Clinton in the upstairs of the arena. It’s old time fiddle music, there’s occasionally guest musicians that come. So free will donation at the door,” Smith said.

Smith says the event was put on hold for a while because of the pandemic, but started up again in October.

Smith says Thursday’s Tunes has become very popular.

“We usually get between eighty and a hundred and ten probably every week and volunteer musicians, anybody that plays an instrument just comes with their instrument and we’ve had up to thirty, thirty-five musicians come on a Thursday, so it’s very popular,” added Smith.

Smith says it will run for the next two Thursdays and then take a break over Christmas and start again on January 5th.
