What a joy to read the article WWII POW honoured as he celebrates turning 99 (Aug. 29) about George Beardshaw being awarded France’s Legion of Honour. He simply stated: “I thought I was just another soldier.” We honour him and all the other soldiers who fought for freedom. Read More
