Some of the biggest stars in recent Toronto Maple Leafs history hit the ice Sunday for an alumni game at London’s Budweiser Gardens, part of an effort by the NHL club to show “support for the community to stand against hate anywhere and everywhere.” The game was held one day after the NBA’s Toronto Raptors held an open practice at the downtown arena in support of the local Muslim community after the June 6 killings of four members of the Afzaal family in an alleged hate attack.
