Obituary – Katie Young

CATHRINE “KATIE” YOUNG

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cathrine Elizabeth Young (Katie), of Kitchener/Waterloo. Katie died at the age of 69, on Dec. 25, 2023. Katie passed away peacefully and with grace in her home in Kincardine, surrounded by her loved ones after a battle with cancer.
Her mother, Wilma Joan Crystal, and her father, Gordon John Young of Toronto, predeceased Katie.
Her daughter Tamara Lee Gordon and her husband Mike Bruce Vogler, and her beloved canine love bug, Carlton, survive her.
Known for her pure heart and passion to serve others, Katie’s smile lit up a room everywhere she went. She was a loving mother and wife, who was an inspiration for many to be better. All who knew her will dearly miss Katie’s presence. Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
