TAB KERN

Tab Darcy Kern, the loving husband of Martha (Marty) Kern, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. He endured this battle with the utmost strength and perseverance, where his strong faith shone through.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Martha (King) Kern; sister-in-law Melody (Mel) Smillie (Emily & Tyler); brother-in-law Keith (Lisa) King (Jobe, Kaylee, Jonathan), (Derik, Jennifer & Steve).
He was predeceased by his father John Kern, mother Kathleen Kern and brother Terry.
Tab is fondly remembered as a skilled tradesperson. He used his vast knowledge frequently, both professionally and privately, to help friends and family. He was a steadfast and supportive man with a great sense of humour; a dear husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be sorely missed.
He was known in the community for his years of fundraising for the Lions Walleye Derby. He was a skilled outdoorsman in many ways and in many seasons. Friends and family were always priorities for him and he could be counted on to help with whatever projects came up.
Cremation has occurred.
A celebration of Tab’s life will occur on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024 from 1- 4 p.m. at The Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 188, 145 Division St. S., Kingsville ON.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of Windsor Regional Hospital’s Metropolitan Campus for their support during this difficult time as well as the Homecare nurses, staff and Harrow Health Centre staff, and also the many friends who stepped up in many ways to provide love and support.
Memorial donations can be made to Harrow St. Vincent De Paul, Harrow Food Bank or to a charity of your choice.
