Library workshop held to protect seniors from fraud

Bruce County Public Library held a fraud prevention workshop for seniors on Nov. 7. The virtual presentation was available both online and at the Chesley and Port Elgin branches. As stated in one of the presentation’s handouts, “Knowledge is power.”
Anyone who attended the workshop gained a lot of power against being scammed – the presenter from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada, Carol Skillen, had a wealth of information and the ability to get it across to both computer whizzes and those less tech savvy. (By Pauline Kerr)
