London police arrest suspect in downtown shooting

Police have arrested one person after a shooting that took place Friday evening in the downtown core.

Officers responded to a call at 6:30 p.m. on Friday in the area of Dundas and William.

Police said one person was found injured with a possible gunshot wound and sent to hospital by paramedics with a serious but non-life-threatening injury.

A male suspect was arrested and a firearm was recovered.

The investigation is in its early stages and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
