Police are asking drivers to avoid the area of Commissioners Road East and Hamilton Road as they investigate a fatal crash.
Emergency crews were called to the area around 5:30 p.m. Police said two people were injured in the single vehicle collision.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Another was taken to hospital with injuries described as “serious.”
Hamilton Road remains open in both directions, but police asked the public to avoid the area as the Traffic Management Unit conducts an investigation.
