Residents of an east London home have been displaced following a fire Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters were called to the multi-unit, single-storey home on Hamilton Road at Pearl Street around 2 p.m.
All residents were able to escape before fire crews arrived and no injuries were reported.
Upon arrival, firefighters completed a primary and secondary search of the structure and extinguished the flames. A hole had to be cut into the roof to aid in ventilation.
A damage estimate has not been released.
The Red Cross was brought in to assist displaced residents.
Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire.
