15-year-old facing assault charge after Beal stabbing

A 15-year-old girl is facing an assault charge, after a stabbing at a London high school.

The incident happened just before lunch on Monday, when a 19-year-old girl was sent to hospital with injuries that police now describe as serious but not life threatening.

Witnesses told London News Today that she was stabbed in the cafeteria and quickly rushed out of the school by EMS personnel. 

The school was under a brief hold and secure while police investigated.

On Tuesday, London police said a 15-year-old girl is charged with assault with a weapon.

She is not being publicly identified due to her age.
