Maintenance work temporarily shuts down Mt. Brydges mass vaccination clinic

One of the London region’s two COVID-19 mass vaccination clinics was unexpectedly forced to close its doors on Friday.

The Middlesex London Health United announced the site at the Caradoc Community Centre in Mount Brydges had to temporarily shut down for the day due to “unplanned maintenance work.”

“Health Unit staff are making attempts to reach out to clients who had vaccination appointments booked today,” the health unit said in a statement.

People who were planning on getting the shot Friday at the Mount Brydges clinic were encouraged to go to either the mass vaccination site at the Western Fair District or the pop-up vaccination clinic at Westmount Shopping Centre. Appointments are not needed to attend either of those two locations, the health unit said.

The vaccination clinic at the Caradoc Community Centre is expected to reopen at 11 a.m. on Monday.

Additional COVID-19 information including a complete list of vaccination clinics in London and Middlesex County can be found on the health unit’s website.
