Four girls, one man kissed by stranger in south London

A 55-year-old man is facing charges after four teenagers and an adult man were kissed by a stranger in south London.

The bizarre incident started around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday when two young girls walking on the south side of White Oaks Mall were approached by a man with a dog. The man, who was not known to the pair, engaged them in conversation before kissing them both on the hand and one of them on the face. The girls walked away from the man while a person who witnessed the incident reported the encounter to London police.

Soon after, a man on Jalna Boulevard was approached by a man he did not know. The stranger began talking to the man before kissing him. The man walked away without further incident.

A witness then saw a man speaking with two teenage girls who were also on Jalna. The man allegedly kissed the girls on their hands, which prompted the witness to call police.

Officers arrived and arrested a man who was still speaking with the teens, police said.

None of the victims in this incident were physically hurt.

A London man has been charged with five counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual interference with a person under the age of 16. He was scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on Monday.
