Suspect sought after fire set outside London church

London police are looking for a man who is alleged to have intentionally set a fire outside of a church.

Police said they were called to the church located at 360 Adelaide Street North at around 8:40 p.m. Friday night.

Officers said that approximately 50 people were inside the church when the suspect set a small fire outside in close proximity to the church.

The members of the congregation exited the building and were able to put the fire out. Police said three vehicles in the parking lot also had damage done to their tires.

There were no reported injuries and no damage to the church.

The suspect male was reportedly inside the church earlier in the evening but was asked to leave by staff members.

The suspect is described as a white man, between 45-55 years of age, with a thin build, medium height, and to have red receding hair.

He was wearing a blue vest with a light grey or white long-sleeved shirt and jeans.

He was last seen carrying a reusable grocery bag and a flashlight.
