Teens hit with pepper spray, baton

A 16-year-old was arrested after police say several teens were hit with pepper spray during an altercation.

Police say they were called to the area of King Street and Maitland Street just before noon Wednesday regarding a disturbance involving several youths.

“The investigation revealed that at least three youths were pepper sprayed, and another was struck by a baton,” police said. “The victims were assessed by paramedic services, and there were no serious injuries reported.”

The victims and the suspect knew each other, according to police.
