Search warrant results in recovery of large quantity of stolen property

A search warrant executed in Culross Township has recovered a large quantity of stolen property.

On May 19th, members of the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit, South Bruce OPP Major Crimes Unit and the West Region OPP Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence along Concession 10 in Culross Township. Police recovered 2 classic cars, 1 pick-up truck, 1 hydraulic dump trailer, 1 car hauler trailer and 2 enclosed trailers. The value of the recovered stolen property is estimated to be more than $179,000. A 39-year-old male from Huron-Kinloss was arrested at the scene.

The accused has been charged with 10 counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000, and they’re scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton to answer to the charges. Police are asking anyone with any information related to this case to contact South Bruce OPP or Crime Stoppers.
