Huron Shores Hospice ready for 6th Annual Hike for Hospice

The Huron Shores Hospice is gearing up for their 6th Annual Hike for Hospice event.

This year, the event will be held on Saturday, May 7th.

Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. outside the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.

The hike will start with welcoming remarks and a warm-up at 10:00 a.m. and participants may hike a full 5 km through the trails or take a short walk around the outdoor or indoor track. The release states the hike is a “unique national fundraising event held across Canada in celebration of National Palliative Care Week. Following the hike, the Kincardine Lions Club will be serving a BBQ lunch, and prizes will be given out to top fundraisers.

Huron Shores Hospice is a charitable not-for-profit, volunteer-driven, community-funded residential hospice, providing quality end-of-life care, at no cost, to residents of Kincardine, Huron-Kinloss, Saugeen Shores and surrounding areas. This year, National Hospice Palliative Care Week runs from May 1st-7th.
