Police lay charges following local disturbance

An individual is facing charges following a disturbance in Wiarton.

Grey-Bruce OPP responded to a call on February 22nd at 8:15 p.m. following a report of an aggressive individual on Mary Street in Wiarton. Police arrived on-scene and located the individual and determined a criminal offence had occurred. A 29-year-old from Owen Sound was arrested and charged with Uttering Threats – Cause death or Bodily Harm, Mischief and Resist Peace Officer.

The accused was held for a bail hearing where they were remanded into custody. They will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound at a later date.
