Four charged in Woodstock drug trafficking bust

Woodstock police say four people face charges as a result of a drug trafficking investigation that began last summer.

The Woodstock Police Service Drugs and Intelligence Unit launched the probe in July 2021 with assistance from the Criminal Investigations Bureau, Community Response Unit, Canine Unit.

On Wednesday, officers searched two residences in Woodstock, which turned up some illicit drugs, including cocaine, ecstasy and oxycodone valued at around $33,000. Police also seized replica firearms and over $15,000 in cash.

Police confirmed Thursday that four Woodstock residents were arrested in connection to the investigation.

The accused, a 47-year-old woman, a 42-year-old man, a 41-year-old man, and a 36-year-old woman, all face charges of possession of a schedule I, possession of a schedule I for trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
