Local council inviting public input on short-term rentals

The town of Goderich is hosting a virtual public meeting to discuss the issue of short-term rentals or BNBs in the town.

Mayor, John Grace, says short-term rentals have become an issue with many rural communities and particularly those situated along the Lake Huron shoreline, and he says Goderich is no exception.

“So Goderich will now have a public meeting about short term rentals on Tuesday, February 22nd. And that public meeting is inviting everyone to come out, whether you’re for short term rentals, like air BNBs or whether you’re against them.”

Grace says there’s a lot of discussion in the community about the pros and cons around short-term rentals, so he’s inviting anyone who wants their voices to be heard to join virtual meeting. It starts at four o’clock on February 22nd and a link to the virtual meeting will be on the town’s web site and on social media.
