Canada wins two more bronze, nets six Olympic medals so far

Canada has won more medals at the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, six so far.

The Globe and Mail Press reported Monday morning that Kim Boutin of Sherbrooke, Quebec won a bronze medal in the women’s 500 m short-track speed skating event.

She finished in 42.724 seconds.

Italy won the gold medal, and the Netherlands took silver.

Soon after Boutin’s news was shared, Canada won the bronze in the mixed team ski jump.

Overnight, Canadian snowboarder Max Parrot won Canada’s first gold of the games in the men’s slopestyle.

His teammate won the bronze medal. Mark McMorris shared the podium with him.

Canada won silver in the men’s moguls on the slopes and another bronze medal in the women’s 3,000 m speed skate.
