OPP launch tip line in Elgin murder probe

Provincial police in Elgin County are again asking for the public’s help as they investigate the murder of a local business owner.

Elgin OPP announced Tuesday that they have launched a tip line that people can call if they have information about the murder of Bradley Shane Chrisjohn.

At around 4 a.m. on April 4, 2021, police responded to a report of a sudden death at a home on Duff Line just outside of Dutton. Officers arrived to find a deceased man, later identified as Chrisjohn, and a second person who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Chrisjohn’s passing was deemed a homicide by police the day following his death.

An obituary depicted him as a family man, survived by his wife, eight children and 12 grandchildren. The notice added that he was “a proud businessman” who operated both the Ambrose Gas Bar and Little Arrows Gas Bar on Oneida of the Thames First Nation.

Anyone with information regarding his murder is asked to the dedicated information line at 1-844-677-5050.

Anyone wishing to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or submit an online tip at www.londoncrimestoppers.com.
