A new study suggests the pandemic is making it hard for people to feed their families.

The Angus Reid Institute survey found 57 per cent of Canadians say its difficult to feed their household. In 2019, just 36 per cent said they were having trouble.

This comes as the country sees it highest level of inflation in 30 years. The survey also found that 82 per cent of Canadians say the cost of living is increasing faster than any income growth.

When it comes to wages versus inflation, the survey found a whopping 82 per cent say any income growth they’ve seen is being outpaced by the rising cost of living.

With word the Bank of Canada is considering raising interest rates to curb inflation, the study found that a quarter of Canadians fear that would have a major negative impact on their household finances.
