Two guns, cocaine, fentanyl seized in traffic stop

Three people are facing charges after London police seized two handguns and a quantity of cocaine and fentanyl from a vehicle in the city on Thursday.

Officers with the guns and gangs section and emergency response unit, armed with a search warrant, stopped a vehicle in the area of Wonderland Road and Farrah Road around 6:30 p.m.

A search of the vehicle turned up a loaded 9mm Glock 27 handgun, a loaded 40 calibre Glock handgun, a Glock magazine, 22 grams of suspected cocaine, one gram of suspected fentanyl, and 32 ‘Tec’ pills. The drugs seized are valued at a combined $2,560

Police also found $1,655 in cash.

A 28-year-old London man is charged with 14 offences including possession of a restricted or prohibited handgun, possession of a firearm knowing serial number has been tampered with, and possession of a Schedule I substance.

Two other London men, aged 20 and 22, are charged with two counts each of possession of a Schedule I substance and one count each of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

All three men were scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on Friday.
